If you want to use non-free software at any given time on HyperbolaBSD, you will not get support either here for this and therefore also no answer to the initial question. HyperbolaBSD is and stays free and libre software, a free and libre operating-system. Your interpretation of freedom is up to you, but please do not think we support within that. Personal recommendation on this: If you want to use clear non-free software, HyperbolaBSD and also Hyperbola as complete project is the wrong approach for you. No cherrypicking on that point: You cannot just select what you like to have without doing some more work and therefore redefine a free system like Hyperbola on your behalf and demands.

offtopic: i personally weigh the advantages of using nonfree software vs the obvious downsides and having a fully libre desktop and laptop is not something i am intresred in but i can probably run hyperbolabsd on the "old" computers i upgraded from but even then i want a nonfree browser like firefox and nonfree ffmpeg
