I see no real value within debating "other people's opinion" meanwhile they have neither come here nor debate on any rational level. The wording fascism has a clear direction, a clear association and a very clear meaning. Using it in different regions and build artificial and exactly wrong and misguiding wordings is not helping and in fact damaging many things besides also accusing Hyperbola of something never done and never doing.

Hyperbola is in fact radicale, correct. But this relates to straight forward, nothing else. The accusation of "fascism" in that context is a clear insult and in no way acceptable.

When this is your only question: I will not answer this one as it is obvious to read within the wiki. If you can grant more input on behalf of a rational argument? Otherwise I will close this one later. And again:

There is no such thing like "liberal fascism".
There is fascism and then there is something else. Fascism is an ideology of hatred, harassment and clear destruction. What people in fact want to do is marking a clear, small project like Hyperbola with insults and wrong associations. That is inacceptable and a waste of time to bother with such!

And I can give also clear insight into the reasoning - or better not reasoning: Hyperbola is not different from other distributions. It is just on its own. We do not copy and clone packages, we have no upstream-distribution (Ubuntu -> Trisquel, Arch GNU/Linux -> Parabola).

- We build our packages from scratch on our own build-infrastructure.
- We do not offer some copied packages.
- We clearly stand on free and community-oriented software.
- We clearly deny dangerous movements and developments making any system unreliable.

On that matters: We want a minimalistic system and documented all of our reasonings within the wiki. Here to read:

https://wiki.hyperbola.info/doku.php?id … ble_system
https://wiki.hyperbola.info/doku.php?id … ainability
https://wiki.hyperbola.info/doku.php?id … nelearning
https://wiki.hyperbola.info/doku.php?id … ialization
https://wiki.hyperbola.info/doku.php?id … _feudalism
https://wiki.hyperbola.info/doku.php?id … y_software

It is NOT our responsibility to carry information behind people. If they disagree? Sure they can, it is their opinion and their freedom to do so.
But is OUR freedom to decide different and create therefore a different system as we have done. Hyperbola had already cloned packages (snapshot) from original Arch GNU/Linux since 0.2 and modified more since 0.3. We recreated then 0.4 from scratch, as our decision and offering a honest, free and libre operating-system.

It constantly appears as though members and developers here have to justify themselves to an anonymous crowd. That is simply incorrect and a highly distorted perception, given that Hyperbola has just as much right to exist as any other system project. We hold a more radical perspective. If an individual does not like it, there is absolutely no problem with choosing other options! The one and only point of a problem is: The misguiding, accusing and clear wrong used wording "fascism". The definition of that is historical clear and has nothing to combine within what others accuse Hyperbola and people here of. Sidenote: We clearly position ourselves for a democratic, inclusive stance and state against authoritarian views - everything is political and having a stance needed. And also we would never dare to accuse other projects (in a whole) of something alike "fascism", even anything near of it is not acceptable. Whatever reasoning that people, that person may have, that insult is of nothing acceptable and a distortion of history, intended or not. What we do: We name problems, problematic statements, clear hatred of individuals surely and fallacies made in our perspective. But that can be clearly read, clearly approved. Not alike that statement you quoted.

And I hope you are just quoting the misguiding accusation and you are not okay with it. We have - as noted - zero tolerance for fascism and anti-democratic stances. So I kind but clear ask to stop quoting that misguiding, false accusations and also to stop debating lies and statements trying to blame democratic stances, inclusion and empathy. That is the real message transported with such "statements" and they have nothing, really nothing to do in here. This will be the only statement I give on this and also the last warning for anyone interested to blame this project with such malicious reasoning. If people search for their inner authoritarian, find democratic values disgusting, blame freedom and only negotiate with their own ego? They may do this clearly elsewhere, at best not even on that nice planet as the price of freedom is also responsibility. So to last scale down what happens next, stuu: You are granted a clear time-schedule to answer for around 48 hours to read and answer if there is interest. After that? Thread closed. And then I propose we clearly move that thread into the trash-can. I understand that you surely not make this to your own stance, but I can only ask friendly to read through the wiki as all is answered there and others leaving a life within solidarity and empathy behind? Not possible to help and I wish them perhaps one day introspective leaving their egoism and hatred behind. Everything else is not possible and is also not ours to answer and solve here.

While moving around this forum, I noticed that the Hyperbola project used to be not as radical as it is now. On all sorts of sites dedicated to non-libre distributions, you can even replace funny reviews about Hyperbola, like this one:
"Who needs this liberal fascism? Who uses this distribution besides the developers themselves?"
So I was wondering why the developers had the idea to make such a radical project, so different from other GNU/Linux-libre distributions listed on the GNU website?
