Topic: Installation on libreboot

Hey

i finally got my T500 librebooted... So i have installed hyperbola using pacstrap /mnt
now libreboot has its own grub i think... I have installed grub os-prober though... But grub won't show up and there is no hyperbola on libreboot grub list
You know what i mean???

How can i make hyperbola show up on libreboot system grub during boot??

Re: Installation on libreboot

Since Libreboot uses GRUB payload, there is no need to install GRUB on the drive indeed (although it remains possible and handy if you switch your drive to an other machine)
Easiest solution is to still install grub :

pacman -S grub

------
Optional (installing grub on drive) :

(as root) (I assume Hyperbola is installed on /dev/sda)

grub-install --no-floppy --recheck /dev/sda

------

then generate a grub.cfg in /boot/grub/

(as root)

grub-mkconfig /boot/grub/grub.cfg

In some (old) roms, grub.cfg inside libreboot rom checks for "libreboot_grub.cfg" inside /boot/grub/ instead of "grub.cfg" so you can generate a symlink of it :

sudo ln -s /boot/grub/grub.cfg /boot/grub/libreboot_grub.cfg
