@Constantmotion that is indeed wise. I still don't think having a libreboot fork called osboot within the same repo is a problem to be fair, but having a fork totally devoted to the fsf standard isn't bad, provided it doesn't bloat itself to death or care about freedom so much that it compromises security when privacy wouldn't be increased by said move.
To be fair, my mantra for what would be wise is this:
Allow nothing that sends any important info via remote blob.
Meaning anything that could be plausibly used against a user. X220 for example fits this bill and there are probably newer gens that might fit this bill, although caution is still very wise before assuming anything without looking yourself as to the danger.
As a final note, using coreboot + intel me disabled is still miles better than using stock bios no matter the vendor.
