Topic: [HyperbolaBSD] We have a roadmap
Hello,
so far there were questions on ARM64 being possible for implementation. So it is again time to underline that we have a concrete roadmap. If somebody wants a different CPU-architecture at a point for HyperbolaBSD it is always possible to support with own engagement. But I link again the roadmap in planning: https://wiki.hyperbola.info/doku.php?id … sd_roadmap
We do not go away from that, we do not build different drivers or implement another architecture. If you want to support, you can with donations but without stating us to implement your wishes. This is not the way how free and libre software is working. You can do different and be part of the team with supporting further, but again: We have a roadmap!
HyperbolaBSD is in development for x86, not for any other CPU-architecture. We are a small team and offering donations for more CPU-architectures is only distrating from our planned roadmap. If you make free, libre software towards some "ordered work", you fail sticking with the character of free and libre projects. You can fork it, develop and plan further as you like. Or you stick with what the project is offering and that is helping the people involved without taking influence alike.
Certainly anyone who has the power to make you believe absurdities has the power to make you commit injustices: For a life of every being full with peace and kindness, including diversity and freedom. Capitalism is destroying our minds, the planet itself and the universe in the end!
