Topic: Package portaudio with sndio-support

You could just change the name of one of them to portaudio-sndio... have one conflict with the other and install:

And go from there... aka.

This is more or less the sndio version, but I have not renamed it, due to not knowing how to.... yet.

Aka, in pkgbuilds, not sure how to change name...

As I have said: We want to bring back support and there is no need to do anything else. smile

To rename a package you just need to change the PKGBUILD-parameters:

Original PKGBUILD

pkgname=portaudio
# versioning is very bizarre:
# https://app.assembla.com/wiki/show/portaudio/ReleaseNotes
_version=190600_20161030

...

Renamed PKGBUILD

pkgname=portaudio-sndio
# versioning is very bizarre:
# https://app.assembla.com/wiki/show/portaudio/ReleaseNotes
_version=190600_20161030

...
provides=('portaudio')

You need nevertheless the "provides"-parameter, just to be cautious. Also to have a look: pkgname is a variable, you need to look carefully about this being used.
