we think we should again make clear that Hyperbola is and will be always based on the work of the community.
So this system is by the community for the community. Yes, for sure there is a core-development behind the scenes. But nevertheless we work all together.

And under that point we think it is important to underline: We can only work together with a clear communication.
When someone is announcing to support within work and tasks to be done we rely on this and just leave to the person to decide about the ways to be taken to get the work done.

But when the task is not being done and we are left with it just opened or even worse with unfinished work this is a big issue for a small team like us.
Reasoning is that we need to invest time than to take over the unfinished task and either try to finish it or even recreate it again from scratch.

It is one point when something is assured from the community and being left to us, another one from a team-member itself. We have no further choice as to remove the member when we don't hear from the person in an amount of time (3 months) .
This does not mean the person cannot return, but when this is happening more than once we cannot accept the return as all our work is based on trust.

We hope this is surely to understand. There is more to be done in our times now, but this is meant for everyone. There is no reasoning just not inform other team-members so we can argument about possible timelines to finish a task. It is not bad to make a pause, but what is having a bad outcome leaving just the work open without anyone knowing what to do, what is planned or how to fix.
Communication is key, trust is elemental for good working together. Without working together this system would have been not possible in the past and won't be possible also in the future. So if people are leaving the development-team being inactive or not responding, with work unfinished, this is not meant as violation of elemental democratic rights or opposing our social contract. It is meant to protect all the hard work and also give the ones leaving a chance for recover or orient to other ways. We won't be angry at any point, but we need to make sure all the work done is left in a good shape.
