Topic: Libre compatible laptop coolers?

anyone know where I can find a laptop cooler that either A: doesn't require proprietary software, or B: doesn't require being connected to the laptop?

By that I mean there is a switch to turn it on.

You could avoid buy non-compatible Linux-libre hardware by searching the deblob-4.9 script file in the Linux-libre device blacklist.

Well looking at that and on other websites, it seems some of them just need to be plugged into a usb for power but have a switch to start.  So it seems that most can be run libre.  That I know of, as long as they have an on and off switch.
