Topic: Can I create separate /var and /log partitions?

Just like how I can create a /home partition that is separate from /root,
is it possible to make separate /var and /log partitions as well?

I'd like to preserve my SSD as much as possible, which also means relying on a
tmpfs Ramdisk.

Therefore, how can I also create ramdisks and assign any partitions to it during installation?

Thanks.

Not my experience, but maybe my reply will get someone else interested.

I am sure all of that is possible though.

Thanks. Also, how much space should the /tmp, /var and /log folders take up?
My first guess is 128, 64 and 64 MB respectively.

What do you think?

Dunno, I am not entirely sure about that.

Though I am hoping we will get further information on that. wink
