Topic: Libregit: Protecting with Cloudlfare?

Hey together,

what do you think about DDOS-protection from Cloudflare? And the better question: Why should any open, libre project use this kind of closed, proprietary services? The concurrent situation: When trying to access Libregit for more insights into open projects from the sphere here at Hyperbola, the visitor is confronted by DDOS-protection from Cloudflare. Sorry to say but that's neither good nor helpful. We are talking about libre services, open for everyone. If there are problems with DDOS-attacks this should be communicated also and there can be possible solutions. But not with usage of proprietary services like Cloudflare! roll

Human being in favor with clear principles and so also for freedom in soft- and hardware!

Certainly anyone who has the power to make you believe absurdities has the power to make you commit injustices: For a life of every being full with peace and kindness, including diversity and freedom. Capitalism is destroying our minds, the planet itself and the universe in the end!

We are already aware of issue with CloudFlare. We reported to libregit devs -> https://libregit.spks.xyz/libregit/libregit/issues/4

Absolutely clear, but I hope the creators of Libregit can get into the situation and solve it by throwing Cloudflare out. Besides the alternative is the used URL as it seems: https://libregit.spks.xyz/
