Topic: Should I update my CPUs microcode?

I read through the ArchWiki's Security page https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Security
and was led to believe I should update my CPU's microcode to protect against any vulnerabilities.

However, I read on Libreboot that microcode updates for some CPUs
may be a bad thing as they could introduce new security flaws.

What can anyone tell me about this?
Should I update my CPU's microcode or not?

If you are using coreboot, libreboot or have intel me neutered, do not do it especially... but in general its a horrible idea. It's like a black box type situation. let's just say that...

Aka, intel bios firmware upgrades are usually very proprietary...

some does it but its before you libreboot it, as zapper said its a horrible idea, knowing that yours have libreboot on it already.
