I think our kernel is affected right now.
Would be wise to update it.

I think our kernel is affected right now.

You should provide a working URL and therefore also the details: A local installation for one user is not the same affected as a multi-user environment or installation especially on focus with container. Furthermore there is one special kernel-module affected, not the full kernel itself. So if you check the module algif_aead or / and or blacklist it all is working further. And next time please check before posting a thread so this support the whole community instead to leave a commentary to "please update". That vulnerability is per default the same as many others, so kindly ask not to spread some panic.
Taking over responsibility, including technical emancipation, means exactly: Test before posting, review possible solution (aside "Please update as soon as possible!"), provide patches or links for different solutions. Not just to rely on some or handover the burden to us solving problems for you. You have also not described WHY that vulnerability is bad in your perspective, WHAT should be solved, HOW you think it should be solved and perhaps you have already done. Just to rely on upstream solving the issues for you, to wait for an update to come so in that case we can all state "All is fine again": That's clearly not the way to go. It is free and libre software, so it is our own responsibility. If you think the kernel needs an update? Okay, may I invite you to support that?
Thanks. Thread closed!
