Topic: Microsoft failed to refresh driver certs of many many projects

If there is a whole silent revolt of free software from big tech. Whole projects being deleted off of github isnt too far away

It is Github, so to await a fair treatment is like to await from a cow starting to fly: This is not going to happen anytime soon. To rely on Github was not working out before and is not working further now. But the issue goes further as it is the elementary signing-part for drivers, which should be taken into perspective: VeraCrypt, Wireguard and others can't do further updates on that behalf right now because of missing signing-methods for their software.

The maintainers have used a clear Microsoft-account for doing all the mentioned parts. And it is clearly forseeable, it was just a question of time. Using Microsoft-infrastructure for free and libre software? Good luck then.

Human being in favor with clear principles and so also for freedom in soft- and hardware!

Certainly anyone who has the power to make you believe absurdities has the power to make you commit injustices: For a life of every being full with peace and kindness, including diversity and freedom. Capitalism is destroying our minds, the planet itself and the universe in the end!

The only reason I can think of microsoft would allow them to return is to feed their code to copilot probably.

Although its possible their dumb AI banned them due to glitches.

Microsoft is after all microslop since windows 11.

Although it was always bad on some level especially since windows 10.
