Topic: Package XLibre?

The XLibre contributors strive to clean up and strengthen the existing code base while maintaining backward compatibility to make X11 a viable choice for the future.

XLibre has cleaned the original X.Org source and has made much improvement. There is also an issue about merging xenocara patches.

It is possible to use XLibre in Hyperbola.

Re: Package XLibre?

XLibre is initiated by a person with really doubtful motivations. Radicale anti-democratic. So perhaps the project itself maybe not seen any longer that way? But we should never forget its roots: We have a working X-Server. No interest in XLibre. Also to see that meson is declared as build-toolchain, which is even more doubtful and bloated by itself. We surely do not need to make even more work instead less.

Thanks, but no! smile

Not that you misunderstand: Every proposal gets a welcome. But xlibre is really too much from its own roots, its current development-guide (roadmap) and it is technical heading in a complete different direction. Meanwhile its apolitical stance can be also a dangerous forwarded problem later on as they do not take any kind of stance.

Human being in favor with clear principles and so also for freedom in soft- and hardware!

Certainly anyone who has the power to make you believe absurdities has the power to make you commit injustices: For a life of every being full with peace and kindness, including diversity and freedom. Capitalism is destroying our minds, the planet itself and the universe in the end!
